These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of North Canterbury Drone Services’ website (ncdroneservices.co.nz), services, and related offerings (“Services“). By booking, inquiring, or using our drone operations (e.g., roof spraying, inspections, pest control), you agree to these Terms. Operated by Grant Chapman (Certified CAA Part 102 Operator), North Canterbury, New Zealand. Last updated: January 21, 2026.
1. Services Overview
We provide aerial drone services including but not limited to:
- Spraying (weeds, roofs, forestry).
- Inspections (assets, roofs, properties, irrigation).
- Surveying, pest control, stock location, event videography.
All flights comply with CAA Part 102 regulations. Services are weather-dependent; we reserve postponement rights.
2. Booking & Payments
- Quotes valid 30 days; provided via email/phone (027 352 0122).
- 50% deposit required to confirm; balance due pre-flight or on completion.
- Payments via bank transfer/EFTPOS. Late payments incur 1.5% monthly interest.
- Cancellations: Full refund >48 hours; 50% <48 hours; no refund <24 hours.
3. Client Responsibilities
- Provide safe, legal access to sites (permissions, no-fly zones).
- Ensure site clear of people/livestock during flights (except coordinated ops like mustering).
- For spraying: Confirm chemical approvals; liability for misuse.
- Weather/event risks: No liability for delays/cancellations.
4. Liability & Insurance
- We hold $5M public liability insurance; CAA-compliant operations.
- Limitation: Max liability equals service fee paid. No consequential damages.
- Drone footage/images: Client owns post-payment; we retain license for portfolio.
- Force majeure: Weather, regulations, emergencies exempt us.
5. Intellectual Property
Raw/processed data (orthomosaics, videos) copyright North Canterbury Drone Services until full payment. Post-payment, client receives non-exclusive license.
6. Website Use
- Content for informational purposes; no warranties.
- Prohibited: Unauthorized scraping, reverse engineering.
- Links: Third-party sites not endorsed.
7. Health & Safety
All ops prioritize safety per CAA/HSW Act. Clients must disclose hazards (power lines, animals).
8. Termination
We may cancel for safety/legal breaches. No refunds for client-caused terminations.
9. Governing Law
New Zealand law applies; disputes in Christchurch District Court.
10. Changes
Updates posted here; continued use implies acceptance.
